Tremvelope

Tremvelope is a tremolo pedal that allows the dynamics of your playing to change the speed and depth of the effect. The result is an intuitive, all analog sound that takes a classic stompbox concept to a whole new level.

Tremvelope is versatile. With the envelope switched off, you get a high fidelity optical tremolo with stereo panning outputs. Tremvelope’s fat sounding audio path is modulated by an LFO with SPEED, DEPTH and WAVEFORM controls.

When the ENVELOPE is switched on, the tremolo is influenced by what you play. The SPEED and DEPTH knobs can each be assigned to increase or decrease in response to the strength of the signal coming from your instrument. These changes in SPEED and DEPTH start from where the knobs are set and independently move in the direction assigned by the user.

The ACCELERATION switch adjusts the response time of the tremolo to changes in your playing and the SENSITIVITY knob provides control over the amount of increase it takes to create changes in the tremolo settings. Expression pedal inputs for speed, and vol/pan add external foot control to this animated beast of a pedal. There is also a TRIGGER input for running the Tremvelope late in an effects chain but still allowing your clean signal (or even a different instrument entirely) to control the envelope directly.

Tremvelope achieves a stimulating state of sonic flux by altering both speed and depth in sync with what you are playing. The resulting psycho-acoustic effects are sometimes reminiscent of the Leslie rotating speaker cabinet, whose signature sound is most pronounced when the rate of its speaker’s rotation is changing. The continual changes in rate and depth achieved by the Tremvelope are highly interactive with the musician. Since the Tremvelope is sensitive to what you play and you are sensitive to how your music sounds, there is an instantaneous feedback between the motion of the tremolo and your motions on the instrument.

Go forth and modulate!

Keymaster

Pigtronix Keymaster is a dual, true bypass FX loop pair that can be run in series or parallel. This intuitive, impedance matching device will route any signal into pedals and then back out to any where else. The Keymaster opens up new worlds of tone from the effects pedals you already own.

Keymaster lets musicians Crossfade between different effects (or entire pedal boards) with a standard expression pedal. The Keymaster also allows you to add an expression pedal controlled Blend function to your favorite delay pedal or any other effect. A player can turn effects off gradually this way for smooth transitions.

You can even make your own custom Disnortion by blending two crunch pedals together in parallel to achieve the ultimate thick wall of sound without the added noise of running multiple high gain pedals in series.

In the studio, Keymaster provides the ideal re-amp solution for engineers who wish to run a line level signal out of their console, into effects and then into an amplifier or back into the console; all from a single, easy to use interface sporting XLR as well as 1/4“ (balanced or un-ballanced) inputs and outputs.

Keymaster is also perfect for vocalists or horn players looking to manipulate effects on stage. Instantly blend a clean vocal into any effect by bypassing one of the channels. This is a perfect way to preserve a clearly discernable vocal while adding a layer of reverb, distortion or modulation effects to your mix.

Every once in a while a device comes along that simply and elegantly answers the unmet needs of musicians at every level. Whether you are a guitar slinging pedal fiend, a funky horn player or a professional studio engineer, the Keymaster will enable you to create new sounds with the gear you already have.

Philosopher King

The Pigtronix Philosopher King is a polyphonic amplitude synthesizer that combines the award-winning compression / sustainer circuit from the Philosopher’s Tone with a next generation envelope generator. Building upon the technology of the Pigtronix Attack Sustain, the Philosopher King takes tone several steps further with a full set of ADSR controls including hold level, release time, one-shot mode, selectable auto reset, and expression pedals for swell and fade times.

With the Swell and Fade functions switched off, the Philosopher King provides transparent optical compression with endless sustain on tap. Adjustable compression (ratio), sustain (threshold) and treble (2k cut / boost) controls allow the musician to tailor the nature of the effect to meet the needs of the material at hand. From a subtle dash of added punch to massive, over-the-top howling sustain, the Philosopher King delivers clean, powerful optical compression. The grit control blends in a layer of sweet harmonic distortion that plays nice with other gain pedals as well as amplifier-generated tube distortion.

The Philosopher King’s swell function provides a pick triggered volume swell effect. The volume swell can be reset at any moment by muting or held open by continuous playing. This “slow gear” type effect is smooth and controllable with variable timing from extremely fast to very slow.

The fade function can be used independently of the swell and is also pick triggered. A major new feature of the decay cycle in this pedal is the ability to fade out from peak level only partially, bringing the audio down to a predetermined level, set by the hold control. The hold level is then maintained until the player releases the note to close the cycle. With the auto reset turned on, the cycle will begin again immediately, creating undulating amplitude modulation and even pulsating tremolo stutter effects at faster decay settings. With the auto-reset turned off, the player determines the exact timing for the beginning of the next cycle.

Another new feature is the one shot mode, which causes the Philosopher King to run through the swell / fade / hold / release cycle regardless of what is played after the cycle is triggered. In this mode, the Philosopher King creates complex waves of amplitude modulation on top of the music coming from your instrument. A trigger input jack allows the swell and fade functions to be controlled by an external source such as a band mate or drum track.

Inspired by the EH Attack Decay as well as our own Pigtronix Attack Sustain, the Philosopher King is a state-of-the-art stompbox unmatched in its ability to re-shape the essential nature of any sound source.

EP-2 Envelope Phaser

The Pigtronix Envelope Phaser pours on the special sauce to take your tone into outer space. Accentuating and sweeping through the harmonics of any musical source, the motion of this revolutionary phase shifter can be controlled by Envelope, LFO or a blend of both. The EP2 pedal is a complete re-design of our Envelope Phaser concept, built on 6 years of customer feedback from the original. EP2 sports all new sounds and smart features, in a considerably smaller package.

EP2 makes it easy to dial in monster envelope tones for any instrument or playing style. The envelope in the EP2 kicks it up a notch with a "Staccato" function that is ideal for fast picking, funk bass and tight rhythm guitar. The Stacatto circuit is an "intelligent envelope" that listens to your playing and quickly discharges the envelope between your notes. This crafty circuit enables incredibly responsive envelope performance, even during rapid fire playing.

EP2's rotary modulation LFO provides adjustable depth and center controls for fine-tuning the frequency range of operation, from subtle swirls to screaming sweeps with a huge range of available speeds. Another crucial addition is the new “LFO smooth” switch, which automatically reduces the resonance setting when the LFO is in use. This performance friendly function finally lets you switch between corpulent, Mutron style quack and deep, swirling Uni-Vibe sounds with a single footswitch stomp... no knob tweaking necessary on stage!

In addition to its unique voice and interactive modulation section, EP2 incorporates new control options, including expression pedals for both SWEEP and SPEED as well as a continuous blend between envelope and LFO modulation sources.

EP2 retains crucial features from the EP-1 such as true bypass switching, + or – phase inversion and our signature “trigger” input for manipulating the envelope with an external audio source. EP2 runs on 18-Volts for maximum headroom.

Years of work went into the development of this unique and ridiculously funky device. If you are a musician seeking the ultimate analog phaser, this is your pedal!

Mothership

Pigtronix Mothership is an analog synthesizer featuring VCO, Sub-Octave and the world’s first Intelligent Ring Modulator. Incredibly fast note recognition and enormous analog sound make this unique synthesizer ideal for use with guitar, bass, horns, vocals or any other musical instrument. No special pickup or interface is required.

At the heart of the Mothership is a newly designed note detection circuit that achieves high-speed and accurate pitch to voltage translation. The Mothership is a true analog mono-synth with a limitless array of tuning options between its voices. This pedal is capable of otherworldly tones that have never before been available in such a compact and easy to use format as well as some new sounds that reach into bizarre and uncharted musical territory. Are you ready to go there?

VCO - The main voice of the Pigtronix Mothership is a VCO  (voltage controlled oscillator) that outputs either triangle or square waves. The VCO can be tuned anywhere from two octaves above the input signal to two octaves below the input signal and functions over the entire range of both 5 string bass and 6 string electric guitar. An adjustable portamento (glide) effect can be added to produce subtle slides from note to note or outrageous multi-octave glissando maneuvers. An expression pedal jack for Whammy control provides tunable pitch bending up to one octave using a standard TRS 20K Expression pedal. That’s right… ANALOG WHAMMY!

Sub-Octave – The Pigtronix octave down is massive; it will shake your house. The Sub Octave is always locked to the input signal, providing a warm and solid fundamental for whatever harmony you create with the other voices. A dedicated SUB Out jacks allows low frequencies from the Sub Octave and Ring Modulator to be sent to a separate bass amp for maximum booty.

Intelligent Ring Modulator – In designing the Mothership, Pigtronix has created something never before heard by mankind: the pitch tracking ring modulator. Tune this ring modulator to the sound you desire and it will follow every note you play, retaining the exact harmonic intervals between its output and the signal it is tracking. A “ring mod source,” switch lets the ring modulator follow either the input signal or the VCO signal, providing an immense array of analog textures and interactive harmony. The glide and whammy functions also apply to the intelligent ring modulator, letting the musician morph one harmony into another and then back again.

Welcome to the future of analog pedals.

Echolution

The Pigtronix Echolution is a dual delay, with independent Tap Tempo and Modulation delay modes. This arrangement allows the musician to switch between different delay sounds on the fly.

When set to Tap Tempo mode, the Echolution has a maximum delay time of 20 seconds and a minimum delay time of 10ms. An on-board momentary switch lets the musician easily set the tempo of the delay. The Modulation Delay mode operates over three distinct time ranges, providing easy access to a huge array of delay based effects.

The short setting (10ms-120ms) provides stereo chorus, reverb and slapback sounds. The medium setting (100ms-1.2sec) covers classic BBD and tape echo territory with lush modulation and rich analog sound. The long setting (1sec-12sec) allows for sound on sound, looping and reverse playback as well as rhythmic multi-tap patterns and pitch bending madness.

What truly sets Echolution apart are the Multi-Tap toggle switches which introduce any combination of five additional echoes at musical fractions of the master delay time. Normally, the values of these fractions are based on quarter notes and triplets but using the PHI switch realigns all of these fractions to values based on the Golden Ratio. The Golden Ratio is a naturally occurring spiral rhythm that is found throughout the universe. It is observed in the shapes of galaxies, sea shells, DNA, the Egyptian Pyramids as well as in the work of many great musicians.

Chorus (pitch) and Tremolo (amplitude) modulation of the delay signal are controlled by a single analog LFO. Independent depth controls allow both types of modulation to be blended for rotary speaker sounds and other warped effects. An Expression pedal input for changing the delay time gives the musician even further physical control over the Echolution's time and pitch bending capabilities.

Other thoughtful features include a stereo blend control that mixes the pure analog input signal with the echo signal, a Trails switch that allows echoes to fade gradually after the effect is bypassed and an input Drive control, which can push the echoes into massive saturation.

True stereo outputs provide breathtaking 3D sound when used with two amps or direct into a mixer. The Echolution contains a Loop feature that freezes the content of the delay line and repeats the captured audio. When the loop function is engaged, all of the modulation and multi-tap functions remain active, allowing you to warp and manipulate the sample beyond all recognition and then back again to its original sonic form. The Echolution can also operate its delay line in Reverse for backward sounds that are truly psychedelic. Reverse and Loop Functions are both switchable via a two button TRS remote switch.

Echolution is a musical instrument that will expand your mind and your music.

Features:

  • Unique Analog / Digital Hybrid Architecture
  • Switchable Tap Tempo and Modulation Delay
  • Analog LFO Modulation for Chorus and Tremolo
  • Reverse and Loop Modes with Remote Switching
  • 6-Part Multi Tap with (Phi) Golden Ratio switch
  • Trails switch lets echoes fade naturally after bypass
  • Capable of Self Oscillation without digital clipping
  • Non-Linear Filters provide analog saturation
  • Pigtronix 15VDC power supply included
  • True Stereo Outputs

OFO Distortion

The Pigtronix OFO Distortion features a touch sensitive Overdrive, Fuzz with 6 different filters and frequency doubling, Octava. Each effect is an original design and can each be used independently or in combinations to forge a tremendous range of musically responsive distortion sounds.

The unique magic of the Pigtronix OFO Disnortion is parallel Fuzz and Overdrive, allowing you to pile on the gain without sacrificing clarity, dynamic response, punch or low end. Well voiced tone and shape controls allow you to focus each effect on its own frequency range.

The Octava is wired in series before the Overdrive and Fuzz, allowing the pedal to produce a unique type of gated, gnarly grind that is absolutely devastating.

A buffered output provides a clean signal for parallel processing, direct recording or a side-chain trigger source for the Pigtronix EP-1 .

I n keeping with the Pigtronix tradition, our Disnortion pedal is Extremely Low Noise and all of the controls are tuned to provide the widest musical range from each circuit.

Here is some info on each of the circuits in the Pigtronix OFO Disnortion:

Overdrive – We can assure you that there has never been an Overdrive quite like this. The Pigtronix Overdrive responds to the dynamics of your playing using a proprietary, 5-stage gain architecture that retains the natural tone of your instrument, while gradually breaking up as you play louder. Our circuit is so touch sensitive, it has been described as “...more tube than tube.” You must hear it to believe it! From Clean or Gritty Boost right up through Plexi roar, the Pigtronix Overdrive is the most musical Overdrive ever made.

Fuzz – Massive Gain, Full Bodied Sustain and Flexible Tone Shapes define our FUZZ effect. Pigtronix's unique version of diode-clipping provides plenty of compression and controllable feedback while preserving the dynamics of your playing style. The rotary tone control switch provides 6 musical EQ curves: Bass, Scoop, Treble, Smooth, F.A.T., and Full Range. The Pigtronix Fuzz can go from Clean Boost to Hair Raising, Shred Fisted, Freak Out Pandemonium!

Octava – This frequency doubler effect makes the notes you play sound one octave up. A Filter control allows you to achieve singing octave up tones without adjusting your guitar's tone control. Stable intervals such as 4ths and power chords result in knarly, tweezed out grind, while other intervals create ring-modulator textures in all registers. The Octava is wired in series with the other two effects for harmonic filled lead tones and outlandish bizarre crunch. Combine the Octava with both Fuzz + Overdrive and... fuggettaboutit!
