John Ziegler started banging on the guitar in Texas a long time ago. He spent many years cutting it up in the clubs and roadhouses throughout the Lonestar State and other parts down south, all the while playing everything from metal to bluegrass to classical. John was also instructing a multitude of enthusiastic guitarists during this time, and eventually, teaching became the major catalyst for his conceptual growth as a musician and guitarist.. His credo to this day, learned from the plethora of students, is that communicating on all levels and being able to get the point across under any circumstance is what's most important.in being a decent musician. Taking it all in and adapting to any situation, striving to be eclectic while performing, and creating sounds with your own "voice" are the artistic keys. When someone asks John what kind of music he plays, the quick reply is "I just do my own thing and always try my best to fit in" or simply "All styles!".

John now resides in Los Angeles, and during the past few years he's encountered and dealt with all sorts of "different" musical situations. He's luckily befriended lots of fantastic and interesting folks within the music community too which has led to some fantastic opportunites. These days Ziegler plays guitar in a few groups that allow him to totally express himself on the instrument, including his own oldschool rock/jazz/fusion band called "VOLTO!" ( www.VOLTOband.com ), the hard rockin' heavy hitting "Pigmy Love Circus" ( www.pigmylovecircus.com ), and his improvisational vehicle "Hubcap Jams", which has a residency every monday night at the famed Hollywood jazz club, The Baked Potato( www.thebakedpotato.com ).

Besides performing, recording, and releasing material from the projects that he's currently involved with, John also works with many
other artists in the chairs of production/recording/mixing, writing,
and guitaring. Also, John's playing abilities, extensive knowledge of
guitar related equipment, and gear collectiing over the years has led
to consulting gigs and product testing for many guitar and music
related companies, some of which are actually featured here on
MusicToyz.com. As of late, John has even found the time to kick back
into the teaching realm, and this in turn has once again sparked an
interest toward new horizons....*The Journey along the path is much
more important than the destination fulfilled...indeed! Please check
