MRS-4 Digital Multi Track
With it's simple 4 track cassette-like interface, the MRS-4 is truly digital recording made easy. Just turn the power on and start recording. Saving recorded audio to smart media cards, the MRS-4 can bounce tracks without degradation, giving you a virtually unlimited number of tracks. Up to two tracks can be recorded simultaneously and with 8 virtual takes per track, a total of 32 tracks can be recorded. The long 45mm faders are perfect for critical mixing and the two-band parametric EQ and pan controls give each channel a wide range sound shaping.
The large back-lit LCD displays two input levels, tracks 1-4 and Master L/R output levels. Location can be displayed either as Measure/Beat or Min/Sec/mSec. Full digital editing tools such as Copy and Paste, Erase, Exchange and Bounce are all at your fingertips. Dynamic effects such as compression or Limiting, Cabinet Simulation for guitar, as well as mic preamp can be easily added to the tracks. Send effects such as Hall, Room, Doubling, Delay (Short and Long), Chorus (Mono and Stereo) are adjustable using the Track Parameter function. The Power, Boost and Vocal Mix Down effects can be used simultaneously with the send effects for a perfectly finished mix.
The MRS-4 also features Manual and Auto Punch In/Out, 50 marker points for transport position and A-B Repeat, from any point or any block. For managing your Smart Media, the free "MRS-4 Card Manager" downloadable software can convert audio files for each track to/from WAV files and can be used with your desktop DAW software. The MRS-4 links with the Zoom MRT-3 RhythmTrak. The MRS-4 receives signal directly from the outputs of the MRT-3 and it synchronizes via MIDI clock. The MRS-4's built in metronome and chromatic tuner aid in making accurate recordings. The unit runs on 4 "AA" batteries or an optional AC Power Supply.

MRS-1044 Digital Multi Track
The MRS-1044 is a hard disk recorder and a fully integrated digital workstation. It features 10 audio tracks, a programmable stereo drum track and a dedicated programmable bass track for a total of 13 tracks. The input and output stages feature 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, while the recording section samples at 44.1kHz (with no compression) storing up to 44 hours of audio on its 15GB internal hard disk.
Professional sounding mixes are a snap with the MRS-1044's built-in 24-bit Digital Signal Processor. It offers Zoom's Modeling Guitar effects, (VAMS- Variable Architecture Modeling System), studio effects such as Reverb, Chorus, Modulation, Delay, Compression, Equalization and Mastering effects with the ability to utilize six effects simultaneously.
The MRS-1044's mixer section features dedicated EQ and faders for each of the 10 audio channels. The comprehensive workstation allows storage of up to 999 songs with 100 marker points per song and 100 sequence and manual scenes per song. Editing is made easy with a large back-lit LCD screen. Auto and manual punch in and out, easy bounce mode, A/B repeat function and a scrub/preview function make the MRS-1044 a powerful recording tool.
Realistic drum sounds are inherited from Zoom's RhythmTrak series of drum machines. The MRS-1044's rhythm section features 8 touch sensitive pads times 3 banks allowing for 24 sounds per drum kit. Bass sounds range from slap to synth and every style in-between. 250 user programmable patterns are available per song, and these can be selected from 400 preset patterns. Connectivity is accomplished via 2 phantom powered XLR inputs, 2 - 1/4" unbalanced inputs, stereo RCA outputs outputs, S/P DIF Optical Digital output and MIDI in/out as well as an optional SCSI and USB add-in card slot.
