The Archer is sort of a 2 in one pedal. It can be used as just a clean boost by turning the gain all the way down. As you introduce gain it will attenuate the clean signal but there is a magical blend in between that you will find. Please experiment!!

J. Rockett Audio Designs Archer Overdrive/Boost (06:23)
http://rockettpedals.com/ The Archer, from J Rockett Audio Designs, is a new boost/overdrive pedal designed to work with your guitar and amp to help you cut through the mix with an organic, responsive tone that sounds like your rig, only more. The Archer's tremendous headroom, resulting from its 18v internal circuitry, lends it a very amp-like feel, and its trio of control knobs let it do everything from transparent clean boost, to chimey mid-range drive, to a singing, velvety lead voice. The Output, Gain, and Treble are highly interactive, enabling a huge range of boost and overdrive tones from a very simple, easy-to-use control set. The Rockett Archer is made in the USA, and features extremely high quality buffered switching, standard 9v negative-tip or battery operation, and a handsome, yet rugged, matte silver enclosure.

  1. That happy medium between a CreamTone and Shin-Juku 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jul 2017

We are a Trio band and I primarily use two drive pedals [1] G2D Cream-Tone [2] MXR Shin-Juku. I was looking for a drive pedal that is a happy medium between these two. I think I found this with the Archer. The songs I am planning to use it live on are Badge, White Room...I tested the Archer with two humbuckers configuration Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB(bridge) & SH-1n 59(neck). The only thing I did not like are the knobs. I would have preferred those hexagon shaped knobs.
