S- Deluxe
The S-Deluxe models are the Strat™-equivalent to the Danny Gatton Tele pickups. Two models are available; one for the bridge position and the other for the neck and middle positions.
The tone of the S-Deluxe is absolutely Strat™ in character, but with greatly expanded fidelity and a balanced frequency response. Of course, hum and noise are completely eliminated. These pickups are incredibly sensitive, giving you a wide range of tones and output levels simply by adjusting the distance of the pickup from the strings.
With S-Deluxe pickups, the "in-between" positions are wonderfully hollow, and the bridge pickup has the strength, snap, and twang typically experienced only in Telecasters.™ The unique staggered-blade design of the bridge pickup, common to all Joe Barden single-coil sized bridge pickups, eliminates drop-outs on the outer strings.
All S-Deluxe pickups are designed to fit standard Strat body routs with no modifications to the instrument. The pickups utilize 4 conductor shielded cable to allow for any possible wiring combination and are supplied with wiring diagrams and mounting hardware to facilitate installation.
Sets are now available that include 2 Pickups, Vol and Tone Caps, Wiring Diagram, and Mounting screws. White or Black
Danny Gatton T-Style
The dual blade T-Style pickups, inspired by Danny Gatton, created a new model of high-end replacement pickups as opposed to those that were merely variations on established designs or basic repair parts. Originally designed for Danny (and with Danny testing every step of the way) they have become the first choice of professional Tele™ players worldwide. The tone of these pickups can be described as absolutely vintage in character, but with greatly expanded fidelity. The lows, mids, and highs are all equal in strength, eliminating the thin, or "tinny" sound that is often a problem with Tele-styled guitars.
The T-Neck is remarkable in that it can be adjusted so that its output is actually equal to the T-Bridge, thus solving the age-old Tele player's complaint: huge output differences between the bridge and neck pickups. While these pickups can be adjusted to greatly exceed the output level of stock pickups, the authentic Tele twang and snap is maintained, and any kind of noise, be it hum, hiss, or squeal, is completely eliminated.
The T-Bridge features our unique "staggered-blade" design, common to all Joe Barden single coil sized bridge pickups for Strats and Teles. The staggered dual blade ensures balanced response on the outer strings. These pickups are the best imaginable for the instrument that originally defined the solid body electric guitar.
T-Style pickups fit standard Tele body routs and require no modifications to the instrument. They utilize 4 conductor shielded cable to allow for any possible wiring combination and are supplied with wiring diagrams and mounting hardware to facilitate installation.
Nashville Tele Style
Now also available is the 3 pickup Nashville T-Style Set. Nashville Tele configurations use a Stratocaster pickup as a center pickup. Similarly, the JBE Nashville T-Style Set adds a center S-Deluxe Neck/Middle pickup to compliment the Gatton neck and bridge pickups to achieve balance and tone not possible with other pickup brands. The JBE Nashville T-Style set is value priced for additional savings.
Modern T Style
This bridge pickup variant of the Gatton T-Style was originally designed for a leading artist who wanted more beef in the bridge position of his Tele, but did not want to sacrifice the great tone already offered by the Gatton T-Styles. The Modern T-Style bridge pickup fits those needs with its heavier coil winding and more aggressive tone and performance.
The Modern T-Style bridge pickup is particularly suited for today's modern country and rock styles. For original twang and overall characteristic Tele tone and performance, the Gatton T-Styles remain the pickups of choice.
The Modern T-Style is a bridge pickup variant only and is similar in appearance to the Gatton T-Bridge pickup. The current Gatton T-Style neck pickup remains unchanged and performs flawlessly with the new Modern T-Style winding of the bridge position in a Modern T-Stye Set.
Best of all, no upcharge has been added. So, now you have another choice that will not cost more yet still delivers all the Tone, Power, Punch and Response of all Joe Barden pickups.
HB and HB twotone
The HB and HB Two / Tone ™ are full humbucker-sized pickups designed for players who are looking for the maximum amount of tone, sensitivity and output, without being saddled with an inherently distorted or muddy-sounding humbucker. The HB provides incredible low-end clarity and overall high sustain characteristics that make it suitable for virtually any purpose, from blues to rock to jazz.
The HB Two / Tone ™ is an additional refinement of the HB pickup. The HB Two / Tone ™ was designed to be the ultimate pickup for Hum/Single/Single or Hum/Single/Hum guitars, as it is literally two pickups in one: you get the HB tone when the pickup is in full mode, and when you hit the switch (a DPDT mini-switch or push/pull pot), the tone and output change to that of an S-Deluxe , so that in combination with the middle pickup, you get the perfect "in-between" sound. There is no switching noise and no hum in either mode. The HB Two / Tone ™ is available for both neck and bridge positions.
The design is a complete improvement over any kind of series/parallel or split-coil wiring, as it gives you the same tone and output level as the S-Deluxe! Many musicians have told us that the HB Two/Tone™ is like a Strat pickup that turns itself into a humbucker!
Both HB models fit into standard humbucker body routs with no modifications to the instrument. The HB models use 6 conductor shielded cable and are supplied with wiring diagrams and mounting hardware to facilitate installation.
Jazzmaster
The JM Two/Tone™ for the Jazzmaster™ is a variation of our HBTwo/Tone pickups that adds a new dimension to the Jazzmaster. Retained are all the beloved surfy single coil tones, but now for the first time a range of full-bodied humbucker tones for Jazz, Rock, Country as well as other muscial styles that benefit from the extended capabilities offerd by the JM Two/Tone. All these sounds are at your fingertips using the noiseless mode switching inherent in the JM Two/Tone design.
The JM Two/Tone for the Jazzmaster has been physically modified to fit under a specially made slotted Jazzmaster cover for drop in replacement of your stock Jazzmaster pickups. A simple replacment of the existing "lead" Volume and Tone pots on the lower control section of the guitar with Push/Pull pots offer easy mode switching without modification to this classic instrument.
The dual mode JM Two/Tone allows Jazzmaster players to retain all the glory of single coil surf tones plus the added drive for rock, jazz or country sounds, making the Jazzmaster a more versatile instrument for Jazzmaster players.

Soapbar
The JBE Soapbar was not designed to be simply another vintage recreation. JBE Soapbars not only offer authentic soapbar tone but also the presence, musicality and noise free performance that are characteristic of all JBE pickups. Liike our entire line of pickups, we sought to develop a Soapbar pickup that would meet today's music demands with players expectations for a high fidelity soapbar design. It simply had to be more than a vintage recreation.
JBE Soapbars have all the characteristic vibe of soapbar pickups but with... "more". The bridge pickup has the"attitude" players expect from a soapbar pickup, taking guitar solos to greater heights. The neck pickup is wonderfully warm, clear and present...never dull or lifeless. With both switched 'on' you get a wonderfully hollow/woody sound that seems to belie the tonal character of each pickup seperately. Equally impressive is that the noise and hum of traditional soapbars are totally eliminated in the JBE design, making them perfect for recording and live performance.
J-Style Bass
J-Style Bass pickups offer the same great Joe Barden tone, power, and response for the bass guitar as our ground breaking double-blade guitar pickups have done for 6 string guitars for the last 25 years.
Our J-Style pickups were designed to maintain authentic J-BassTM tone and character but with extended frequency response and articulation that characterizes all Joe Barden pickups. And, like all other Joe Barden pickups, the J-Style pickups exhibit quiet performance for live performance or recording.
Now, bass players are free to tailor their sound more precisely than was possible with stock pickups, and can select one or both pickups without fear of noise or hum often induced by traditional single coil bass pickups.
Neck and bridge position pickups differ in size to fit into the cavities of traditional J-Bass and similarly styled guitars without modification to the instrument.
P-Style Bass
The P -Style Bass pickup is designed for the 4 string P-Bass and similarly styled basses. The sound is alive and present with punch and articulation that lifts your bass into a sound space that lets you stand out in the mix with authority and tone.
In a departure from dual blade pickup design, the JBE P-Styles utilize two single coil pickup pairs similar to a traditional P-Bass pickup. But, as you would expect from JBE, the P-Style is significantly quieter than traditional P-Bass pickups. And, like all JBE bass and guitar pickups, every note is balanced and smooth across all strings. Intervals ring out with clarity and tone that make bass chording alive and expressive.
The wide frequency response of the pickup allows players to shape their tone from punchy and aggressive to soft and mellow. The P-Styles are also responsive to height adjustment enabling every player to adjust for the tone and response that is right for them.
JBE P-Style pickups are designed to fit standard 4-string P-Bass body routes without modification to the guitar.
Wiring diagrams and mounting hardware are included to facilitate installation.
