Classic XII Phaser

The TC XII Phaser can be used in numerous ways from clean funky chords over overdriven riffs to heavily saturated leads. Its 4-8-12 filter selector offers you a variety of settings radically altering the phasing from wild lo-fi retro to pure grandiosity and back.

The swirly effect from the sixties just keeps popping up in all kinds of genres and productions. From acid rock over early hard-rock to funky beats of the seventies and further to the many contemporary styles that really know their roots; - the phaser is ever so popular and a simple must in any guitar rig.

The Classic Phaser with the 4/8/12 filter styles combined with the unique peak to notch function will match all your craving for phasing sounds - and deliver them straight in your face !

The unsurpassed sound quality of the TC XII Phaser has made it a true classic among vintage pedal collectors.

While other effects may sometimes be used to add subtle and almost inaudible nuances to your tone, the TC XII Phaser never leaves you in doubt whether or not it is on.

Controls
Filters: Select between 4, 8 or 12 filters. The higher amount of filters used in a phaser, the smoother and thicker the sound.
LFO Speed: Sets the general speed of the phasing effect.
Width: Determines the width of the frequency sweep. A wider sweep will make the turning points of the sweep less obvious.
Function: From peak to notch. Use this control to select between and set the intensity of either a negative (notch) or positive sweep (peak). Peak is the phaser type most commonly used as a guitar effect. Notch type is more subtle. As always : experiment and select the type that suits you particular application best.

Classic Series Booster + Distortion Pedal

Whether you use this pedal as an always on signal booster to make your tubes work harder, as an occasional boost for highlighting a solo, lick or passage or as a distortion pedal to go with a clean amp, it will always stay true to your tone with absolutely no coloration or degradation of the original signal.

The built-in noise gate holds feedback in a firm leg lock only letting through the boosted, yet uncolored, roaring signal from your strokes.

Controls
Noise Gate: Threshold setting for the built-in Noise Gate. Using a gate is always a compromise between eliminating the noise when you are not playing yet still being able to play phrases with a low dynamic content. Experiment to find the best setting for your setup.
Boost/Distortion: Selects boost or distortion function. Use boost for a clean boost that will raise the level on clean/crunch sounds and use the distortion to experience the classic distortion that gives you a fat easy to control distortion sound.
Distortion: Sets the amount of distortion when the pedal is used in distortion mode.
Bass: Add a bit of bass for extra punch or attenuate if you feel you are about to blow your speakers.
Treble: Adding boost or distortion to a sound always changes the perceived amount of treble. Use the Treble control to adjust the amount of high-end frequencies in the sound.
Output Level - Sets the overall output level for both the distortion and boost modes.

Classic Sustainer + Parametric EQ

The Classic Sustainer + Parametric EQ gives you studio quality compression in a pedal. Crank it to the extreme and it ll give your sound that percussive thud brilliant for funk or country. And with its parametric EQ you re in full control of which frequencies to target.

One of the true grails of vintage effects pedals. This one really enhances your tone. Go from subtle compression to extreme sustaining effects at the tweak of a knob. This sustainer will prolong life of even your weakest tone otherwise destined for premature death.

Controls
Sustain- Sets the amount of sustain.
Freq Center- Sets the center frequency to be attenuated or boosted by the Function control.
Function- From notch filter type to peak filter type.
Notch settings will attenuate frequencies around the Freq Center. Peak settings will emphasize the selected frequency area. High Q- The Q value switch allows you to alternate between two different curve-widths. If you are looking to attenuate an annoying frequency you should most likely use the notch filter type with a narrow Q (out position). If, on the other hand, you are aiming to make general adjustments in a frequency area, the wider Q setting should be used (in position). Experiment.
Output Level - Controls the overall output level of the pedal.
Noise Gate- The Classic Sustain+Parametric EQ comes with a built-in noise gate that can eliminate unwanted noise deriving from pedals placed previous in the signal chain or noise coming from the Classic Sustain+Parametric EQ itself when extreme settings are used.
The single control adjusts the Threshold point. Attack and Release parameters have fixed settings based on common applications.

TC Electronic Classic Series Sustain + Parametric EQ Equalizer Pedal Specifications:

  • Connections: 1/4 inch input jack, 1/4 inch output jack, DC jack 2mm (center is minus)

Vintage Compressor

Do you want true and original compression? The Vintage Compressor gives you an uncolored and unbiased sound. With clarity and dynamics of virtuosic dimensions and a steadfast character, you can crank up the compression level to max. Even out any indecisive signals by cutting off the high-input signals and boosting the low ones and do it without loosing any of the lucidity and dynamics of your original sound. Choose slow attack times and go completely percussive, or choose fast attack times for loads of sustain. The Vintage Compressor is a delight for all sound sculptors with a craving for transparency, sustain and dynamics.

  • Comp Drive – Sets the compression amount. The higher setting, the harder you drive the compressor input
  • Attack Time – Determines how fast the compression is achieved. A short Attack time combined with a high Comp Drive setting gives a very aggressive compression, crushing the attack of your guitar yet adding sustain, while a longer attack time gives a percussive feel allowing that famous snappy sound on your guitar.
  • Output Level – Controls the Output level of the compressed sound.

Vintage Delay

The Vintage Delay will instantly bring you back to the days of warm, lush, “all-tube echoes, and at the same time it connects you to the state-of-the-art digital delays of today. It builds on the legacy of the classic TC 2290, the holy grail of delays. Resurrect the tape echo of the 60'ies, recreate the “analog temperate sound of the tubes, or be cool with the studio quality delays. Tap-tempo lets you set the pace, and several control knobs gives you the power to be delayed, but not late.

  • Delay time – Sets the delay time. The delay time can be set from approx. 10ms to 1500ms.
  • Feedback Level – Sets the amount of signal that is fed back to the input of the delay line. The higher setting the more delay repeats.
  • Delay Level – Controls the level of the delay repeats.
  • Output Level – Output level for the effect.
  • Filter – To reproduce the slight deterioration of the delay repeats that was significant to old tape echoes the Filter can be switched on. This function gives a warmer sound on the delay repeats that allows long relatively loud delay repeats to blend much better in your overall sound.
  • Triplets – In off position (up), the tapped tempo equals the delay time between the repeats. If you e.g. tap quarter notes at tempo 120BPM, the delay will repeat times 2 per second. When the triplet function is activated – the delay repeats will play quarter note triplets according to the tapped tempo. That means 6 repeats per bar.

Control the blend of distortion and your original tone with the mix factor knob. Beware that you don't crush, bash and trash your amp with this bass pedal.

  • Color Filter – The Color Filter is not just a treble/bass control but gives a wide variety of tone color options.
  • Gain Level – Sets the amount of distortion or grind.
  • Output Level – Overall output level control.
  • Mix Factor – This is a mix control that allows you to blend the clean signal with the processed signal, allowing you to maintain that precious low end of your bass.

Vintage Tremolo

Remember the classic tube amps with that extremely creamy and alluring tremolo? The Vintage Tremolo reconstructs exactly that sound, but it also gives you all the power to adjust according to your taste or mood. If you dig a more saturated expression, just boost the signal. If you want to go really slow and really deep; then adjust the speed and depth knobs. The Soft Mode switch lets you switch between soft and hard tremolo. Don't be surprised if you get the tremors the first time you use the Vintage Tremolo.

  • Mode – The Vintage Tremolo has both a hard mode and a more subtle soft mode. Use the MODE switch to switch between the two modes.
  • Depth Ratio – Sets the intensity of the effect.
  • Output Level – Controls the overall output volume.

VPD1 vintage pre-drive pedal

scflille.gif - 3597 Bytes The VPD1 vintage pre-drive pedal is a lot more than just an overdrive. With the additional boost section, top and mid boost, remote control, and a vintage-type speaker simulation, VPD1 is a genuinely versatile guitar pedal. Our scientists designed the VPD1 to reproduce warm driven vintage tones that you would normally only get from a tube amp with the master volume turned all the way up.

Simplicity, great sound, and timeless design make up the holy trinity of the VPD1 vintage pre-drive pedal. This pedal is all about bringing out the best in your favorite guitar/amp setup without any unwanted coloring of tone or quality-compromising add-ons. VPD1 would therefore serve as an excellent companion for the G-System from TC Electronic. The basic drive section delivers a distinguished vintage overdrive allowing every characteristic of your instrument to shine through. When you kick in the boost section, you get a saturated lead sound with plenty of gain and sustain. Additional features on the boost section are the Top and Mid boost emphasis filters that let your tone really cut through.

VPD1 features a unique circuit, which accurately replicates every group of components in an original vintage tube amp combo, including the dynamic interaction that occurs between the components. In addition to the drive functionality, VPD1 actually serves as a small preamp, ranging sonically from barely audible overdrive to snarling leads – and beyond.

In the VPD1 signal path, the boost section is placed before the drive, which means that the boosted guitar signal not only sounds louder but also sounds more overdriven. This makes it ideal for switching from rhythm to lead guitar. The remote function even allows you to switch the VPD1 boost on and off with the new G-System from TC Electronic, or any other external relay switching device. For your convenience, we've also included top and mid boost switches for a more flexible sonic exploitation of the VPD1.

The VPD1 sports an integrated speaker filter that makes it very useful for studio sessions and home practice. The speaker filter, which can be bypassed at a flick of a switch, is based on the same research as the VPD1 Drive, and underlines the vintage qualities of the new TC pedal.

  • Remote Control Connection – seamless integration with G-System.
  • Boost – when activated the drive channel is driven harder giving more overdrive.
  • Flat / Top Boost / Mid Boost – selector.
  • Boost Channel switch.
  • Drive – sets amount of drive on the drive channel.
  • Level – Sets the Output level of the pedal when active.
  • Bass – Bass attenuation for the Boost channel.
  • SPK SIM – Speaker Simulation – The filter simulates the frequency response of a vintage-style guitar speaker.
  • Tone – Use the Tone control to attenuate high-end frequencies. The Tone control operates on both channels.
  • Boost LED – Indicates when VPD1 is in Boost mode.
  • On LED – Indicates when VPD1 is active.
