Vox Ice 9 Overdrive
Loaded with personality, the Ice 9 overdrive pedal is fourth in a series of effect pedals created in collaboration between world-renowned guitarist Joe Satriani and VOX. With two distinct overdrive modes, versatile tone-shaping, and the ever-popular "More" switch, the Ice 9 delivers a wide range of inspiring tones, yet remains remarkably easy to use. The name comes from the title of one of Joe Satriani's popular songs on his smash album, Surfing with the Alien (1987).
Ice9 features
Two voices of overdrive: Vintage or Modern
Gain and Volume knobs offer exacting distortion control
Tone and Bass controls deliver detailed tone-shaping
The signature Joe Satriani 'More' button
Dual Voice Dexterity
The Vintage / Modern voice switch provides access to two totally different overdrive voices; each is designed to Joe’s exacting specifications using carefully selected components. The Vintage mode employs a special op amp and premium diodes to offer overdrive effects that are sweetly warm and classic, with just the right amount of sparkle and sustain. In contrast, the Modern voice adds in a Germanium diode to kick up a cutting-edge overdrive that is altogether new and aggressive.
Superior Sound Shaping
While most overdrives simply offer a single EQ knob, the Ice 9 is voiced with both a custom Tone control and an extra a Bass response knob. The Bass control adds extra bottom to the sound before it enters the drive stage, delivering dynamic low-end response. Turning the Bass down will result in an overdrive tone with a crisp, extra bite The Tone control shapes the sound as it exits the drive stage, offering even more sonic flexibility. While the EQ points match the exact settings Joe Satriani uses to create his enormous guitar tones, the Ice 9 lets you create an overdrive tone that's all your own.
How much overdrive is enough? The Gain knob can dial in any amount of overdrive from a warm, soft edge to a full-tilt onslaught – the choice is yours. Working in conjunction with the Gain control is the Volume knob. This controls the overall volume level when the Overdrive effect is engaged. And when you still want "more", the Ice 9 delivers; stomp down on the "More" button and enjoy an additional 14 dB of mix-cutting volume boost!
The Substance of Style
Each pedal in the VOX / Joe Satriani Series was built to be best in its class, with enough flexibility to express both Joe’s – and your own – individual, signature tone. Power comes from a single 9 Volt battery (an optional AC adapter is available). True to Joe's design, the Ice 9 features a durable metal case, a dazzling paint job, plus easy-to-read, chicken-head knobs.

Vox Big Bad Wah
The "Big Bad Wah" dual-mode wah pedal is the third effect pedal
created in collaboration between the world-renowned guitarist Joe Satriani and VOX. With two wah modes and some unique features, it delivers a wide range of wah sounds.
Main features
Dual-mode design offers two distinct wah sounds in a single pedal
Wah One is classic VOX; with that decidedly sweet UK tone
Wah Two provides Joe Satriani's original drive and voice controls, delivering a wide range of sound-creation possibilities.
Big Bad Wah is one in a series of pedals designed by VOX and guitarist extraordinaire Joe Satriani. Joe contributed numerous ideas that were unheard of in existing wah pedals, endowing the Big Bad Wah with an unparalleled range of sounds from vintage to modern, as well as those that are totally original. The heart of any wah pedal is the “inductor.” The Big Bad Wah allows you to select between a vintage UK style inductor, and the more modern USA style. Designed to Joe Satriani’s custom specs is the design of the pedal pot itself, delivering a smooth, musical tone throughout the entire sweep of the pedal.Big Bad Wah features a dual-mode design. Wah One faithfully replicates the classic VOX wah sound that conquered the world.
Wah Two delivers all the wah pedal know-how that Joe has accumulated over his many years of experience. The Drive knob mimics the Wah 1 gain at its lowest setting, and delivers a 10 dB boost at the maximum settings for those aggressive, growling overtones. One of the most powerful aspects of Wah Two is the Voice switch, providing traditional wah voicing; or a dark, resonant tone reminiscent of a vintage talk-box.
This is the ultimate wah pedal not just for Joe Satriani fans but for any wah pedal user who enjoys creating their own sound.
The "time machine" dual-mode delay pedal is the second effect pedal created in collaboration between the world-renowned guitarist Joe Satriani and VOX. With two delay modes and a Hi-Fi/Lo-Fi switch, it delivers a wide range of delay sounds and yet remains remarkably easy to use
Main features
Dual-mode delay: "modern" and "vintage."
Two EQ modes: "Hi-Fi" or “Lo-Fi”
Broad delay time range, with tap tempo control
Independent wet and dry stereo outputs
Two delay modes to handle any situation
The time machine provides both "modern" and "vintage" delay modes. The modern mode mirrors your original sound with full clarity and fidelity, and will fit any style of music. As its name suggests, the vintage mode delivers the sound of a classic tape delay unit. A proprietary saturation circuit creates a warm, analog sound with a nice sense of distortion. Gentle modulation is also applied in the vintage mode, reproducing the slight warbling produced by a tape-based delay. The amazing effectiveness is the result of an uncompromising process of testing and refining carried out by Joe and VOX.
Hi-Fi/Lo-Fi switch summons up Joe Satriani's custom tone
Joe wanted to get a sound that blends nicely with the other performers – whether you're on stage or in the studio – and yet also has some thickness to the tone. The solution was to add a Hi-Fi/Lo-Fi switch to the time machine. The Hi-Fi mode delivers a transparent, uncolored sound. The Lo-Fi mode, on the other hand, provides a distinctive EQ, combining both high-pass and low-pass filters. This EQ uses filters that have been precisely adjusted to Joe's taste, so that your guitar sound will blend naturally in the mix – without obscuring or interfering with the other players.
Versatile functions equal a diverse range of sound
The time machine is a pedal like no other, one that expands your sound-creating potential through a variety practical functions. The delay time is adjustable over a broad range – from 30ms slapback to nearly six full seconds of delay*. You can also use the tap tempo switch to set the delay as triplets, eighth notes, dotted eighth notes, or quarter notes depending on the delay range position setting. The chicken-head knobs that are a VOX tradition (and also favored by Joe) allow you to make fine adjustments – even while holding a pick – so it's easy to make quick yet precise changes. There are also two OUTPUT jacks, so the unprocessed "dry" sound and the processed "wet" sound can be output separately. By connecting these two jacks to different amps, you can obtain spacious delay sounds that are highly effective in any playing environment.
(*) Maximum delay is 5800 milliseconds when using the tap temp switch and 1000 milliseconds when using the delay control.

VOX is pleased to introduce the first pedal in an ongoing collaboration
with guitar icon Joe Satriani.
Drawing on Joe Satriani's knowledge accumulated from decades of groundbreaking performances, both live and in the studio, VOX unveils a breakthrough in guitar tone – The Satchurator™ distortion pedal. Designed to Satriani's exact specifications. The Satchurator produces Satriani's signature tone and adds new features and improvements never before combined in a distortion pedal.
After almost a year of painstaking experimentation and road testing, Satriani and the VOX R&D team discovered the secrets to capturing the ultimate distortion tone in a modern-day pedal. The Satchurator is capable of very high gain levels, but operates more quietly and musically than other modern distortion pedals.
It also preserves the tone and pick-attack of the guitarist plugging into it, regardless of style, from subtly distorted blues tones through classic rock and shred. The result is a professional-quality pedal that recaptures sought-after vintage and modern sounds in a powerful, versatile and extremely musical pedal design.
“The Satchurator is the most musical, most dynamic, multi-function distortion pedal I've ever played through” says Satriani. “This little red box is a monster tone generator. Following my specifications without compromise, and adding design innovations I never thought possible, the VOX team has delivered exactly what I need for the stage as well as the studio: a distortion pedal that responds to my touch, and produces a big, natural, harmonically rich tone compatible with any guitar/pedal/amp configuration.”
Satchurator features
Analog distortion pedal designed under the complete supervision of Joe Satriani
Controls for Gain, Tone and Volume
‘More' gain boost switch enables two footswitchable distortion sounds in one pedal. This gain boost is dramatic when gain knob is set low, and is a subtle solo boost when gain knob is set to maximum.
‘Pad' switch pads down input to allow for high gain pedals (such as modern wahs) placed before Satchurator. Up is pad ‘ON'. Down is pad ‘OFF' for full Satchurator effect.
High gain, low noise design provides vintage to modern distortion sounds
Dynamic circuit is highly responsive to rolling off the guitar's volume and preserves the guitar's high end when the volume is rolled off.
Cream chicken-head knobs for precise positioning and high visibility on dark stages
