Retro-Sonic Distortion
Retro-Sonic Distortion:
The Retro-Sonic Distortion pedal is based on an LM308 op-amp design, and features true bypass switching, with Distortion, Tone and Level controls. Together, these provide a wide range of tonal possibilities, from subtly distorted blues tones through to classic rock and metal.
As added flexibility, Retro-Sonic has incorporated two internal trim pots to allow adjustment to the frequency response of the gain structure. This gives Distortion users the option to tailor the overall response of the pedal to taste, by reducing or increasing the mix of high or low end content. More tonal flexibility can be explored through multiple clipping options via a 3 position mini toggle switch, which selects symmetrical-diode, asymmetrical-diode, or LED clipping.
The Retro-Sonic Distortion is a professional quality effect pedal that recaptures the much sought-after "vintage vibe." It is a truly versatile and musical pedal design that responds to touch, producing a big, natural, harmonically rich tone that works with any guitar-pedal-amp configuration.

Retro-Sonic Delayght
Retro-Sonic Analog Delay:
The new Retro-Sonic Analog Delay is based on the now out of production DM-2 circuit. That was the starting point for the design. It has the usual controls, delay time, level and repeats. An additional control alters the tone of the repeats ( hi cut filter). The unit has been built using two 4096 stage BBDs. (The max delay time is 600ms). Nice and quiet, no clock noises or hiss. The unit is housed in the same enclosure as the chorus, with 4 control knobs and two footswitches. One footswitch selects effect/bypass ( true bypass), and the secondary footswitch allows selection between a short and long delay path (~300ms and ~600ms). This enables finer control over the short delay range (effectively a delay and slapback selection at your foot).

Retro-Sonic Eight-0-Eight
The Eight-0-Eight Overdrive is a faithful recreation of the original TS-808 Tube Screamer circuit and features the JRC4558D op-amp. Its overdrive circuit provides the same tone as a vintage '808, noted to provide tube like overdrive effects while retaining the guitars original tone.
Being a ground up build rather than a modified pedal has allowed us to provide some feature benefits up front.
Standard Equipment: These are the features that the pedal will have as shipped to dealears.
- The unit is built with metal film resistors and caps for the best fidelity possible.
- The opamp is mounted in a socket so that you can swap engines easily....
- An internal trimpot allows for adjustment to the amount of bottom end content present. The range is from stock TS to nearly flat (no flaby-ness wanted). The mids are not taken away, the bottom is brought up. A nice feature that lets you decide what the right amount of low end is.
Optional Equipment: (These options will only be available through direct orders)
- Tone control enhancement (enhances tonal range)
- Audio Quality Op-amp
- Increased gain range (less gain at min setting, more gain at Max)

Retro-Sonic Phaser
The Phaser isbased on the classic 4 stage Script circuit with a few additions for a more versatile pedal. Along with the Rate, the Retro-Sonic Phaser has a Depth control which allows you to dial in the intensity of the effect, as well as a level control to match unity gain, or even provide a little boost if desired. All pedals will have a matched set of FETs for the best possible phasing experience, and of course True Bypass is standard.
Like all Retro-Sonic pedals the compressor is housed in a rugged die cast
chassis, and also features true bypass switching."

Retro-Sonic Compressor
The Retro-Sonic Compressor is based on the famous gray Ross Compressor known
for its smooth compression and attack response. The Ross design is updated
with the finest components, providing clean, smooth compression with low
noise and incredible transparency. You will notice note-to-note levels that
are smoother and more consistent, chords and picking that is tighter and more
focused, and when used with an overdriven amp, sustain that will last and
last! Notably, you'll find minimal coloration to your guitar signal and less
of the note-attack alterations so common to other compressors.
The "Recovery" switch has 3 settings: slow, medium, and fast. The slow
setting (stock Ross) yields nice long sustain and compression. The fast
seting is most useful when playing faster while still maintaining pick
attack. The medium setting is the midpoint between the two.
Like all Retro-Sonic pedals the compressor is housed in a rugged die cast
chassis, and also features true bypass switching."

Retro-Sonic Chorus Ensemble
Distinctive lush chorus, amazing vibrato, the Retro-Sonic Chorus Ensemble is the only true reproduction of the 1976 CE-1 using the original analog BBD. Its lush, focused tone is the standard by which all other chorus effects are measured. The Chorus Ensemble is capable of a wide range of sounds from analog chorusing to pulsating vibrato, having the unique Vibrato feature that was incorporated on the original which simulates a Leslie rotating speaker. The chorus and vibrato functions are selectable through a footswitch control, allowing desired presets to be maintained by separate control. The Mono an Stereo outputs allow for a two amp setup for an amazing chorus expierience. The unit features hi grade components, true bypass, and now powered by 9VDC, (thanks to a custom power chip) there's no need for a special adapter, just plug into your existing rig and enjoy!
Based on customer demand, the improved Chorus pedal now has stereo outputs and operates from standard 9VDC power supplies.
The additional stereo output provides users the option of a two-amp setup. This brings a heightened dimension to the existing thick sound of the Chorus effect pedal, which has already developed a loyal following throughout North America and Europe.
In the March, 2006 issue of Guitar Player Magazine ©, Barry Cleveland said of the mono version Retro-Sonic® Chorus “This is definitely a thick and sensual old-school chorus…This baby's definitely a keeper!”
Retro-Sonic® has now developed a custom proprietary solution to allow the use of 9VDC power input, and internally convert this to the Chorus voltage requirements. Internally, the unit still runs on the same voltage spec, (meaning there is no impact to the tone of the circuit), but musicians now have the convenience of hooking up to a standard negative center 9VDC adapter, or popular multi-tap power supply units.
The Chorus outputs are labeled “MONO” and “STEREO”. Inserting a plug in the “STEREO” jack, splits the dry and wet signals for stereo separation to the two amps (wet signal on the mono output, and dry signal on the “stereo” output). Removing the plug from the stereo jack puts the unit back into mono mode.
