Mahoney Vico Vibe Tremelo
In the late 60's, Jordan offered an incredible sounding tremolo unit that was housed in the plug-in style box like the Bosstone. There were less than 100 of these rare units ever produced. We were lucky enough to obtain one of these original units and have successfully cloned it.
We have added a transparent boost that allows the pedal to be fully adjustable. One drawback of the original Vico Vibe was the volume drop that occurred when the pedal was engaged. We have addressed this problem and the boost is very warm and lush sounding.
The Vico Vibe is not a "Vibe" like the name suggests, it is a very warm sounding Tremolo. The sound is truly out of this world - and creates a very Buttery effect. Imagine the Tremolo used on the song Crimson and Clover and you will get an idea of the sound.
In testing of this unit, we have compared it to other Vintage amp tremolo units and our version exceeds all of our expectations.

Bosstone
The Legendary, Holy Grail of useable Fuzz Pedals, the "Bosstone®" by Mahoney.
All of the tone of the original, with modern features, and ultra low noise. Housed in a friendlier package for years of trouble free service.
We dissected two vintage models as a base for our new unit. Countless hours of testing and experimenting went into the final product.
This is the exact same circuit from the 60's with modern features.
The modern Bosstone is essentially a vintage Bosstone housed in a modern housing. We start off with a freshly redesigned PCB. This circuit board is an exact copy of the originals circuit path. The only thing we changed was the board size and component placement.
We then housed the Bosstone in a sturdy Hammond enclosure. The box is then powder coated, and we apply the graphics. We use high quality jacks and potentiometers as well as adding a EH 3PDT true bypass switch.
Careful attention was paid to the components of the originals. We are using carbon comp resistors, ceramic disc capacitors and a matched set of transistors. It took a lot of time to find modern available equivalents that mirror the sound of the vintage Jordan's.
The Bosstone sounds best when powered by standard non-alkaline batteries. We ship ours with a nickel cadmium 9 volt and the unit can also be powered by the onboard DC power jack. The end result is a rugged useable version of the original Bosstone that will provide many years of trouble free service.
