Trinity
Filter, Auto & Classic wah NEW!
A complete new breakthrough in the world of effect pedals, the TRINITY is a combo 1- envelope filter, 2- auto wah and 3- wah-wah
in one compact pedal and a controller ---and of course an hommage to Carey Ann Moss .
But not only this : thanks to its unique controler , the TRINITY opens a whole new field in effect pedals, allowing tones and sensations never experienced before.
For once a new pedal is really new. tar tone forever.
Chapter 1 : Classic Wah
Thanks to its dedicated dome controller , the TRINITY can be used as a wah-wah pedal.
As unusual as it may seems ----the JACQUES TRINITY controller is made in a former military hardware factory----- anyone who have tried it feels immediately at ease with its utterly precise control over one of the most uncanny wah tone of all time.
Try one and you will ask yourself why in this world bulky rocker pedals have been the classic choice for wah.
The unique TRINITY wah tone is more vowel-like, more human than any other wah pedal,
and makes heads turn whenever you start playing it.
You can of course adjust the Q factor with the MANUAL knob to come back to classic wah tone, making the TRINITY an incredible wah pedal if only it was its sole function, but ......
Chapter 2 : Stuck Wah
Due to its nature itself, there is nothing easier to get a stuck wah tone on the trinity. Furthermore, control on these favored guitar tone has never been so wide, from throaty 'Money for nothing' to squealing hard rock tones.
You need it . So why bother unstable drifting rocker pedal or expensive rack : the TRINITY will give you this famous tone stock without spending another dollar. And yes : Stock stuck wah.
Chapter 3 : Filter Wah
One of the most coveted effect of guitardom is the envelope filter.
The TRINITY offers an incredible rendition of this beloved tone, with a more complete range of controls than the competition...
The best thing about the TRINITY filter is that it's still a really dramatic effect while being usable in any setting. I wanted the whole to be pro-proof, and that you could get GREAT filter tone on the first second with the pedal.
Simply adjust the sensitivity control to your guitar and playing tech and you'll get your first brush with royal sibling enveloppe filter from France !
Chapter 4 : Auto Wah
The TRINTY gets an inboard full functions autowah, with rate and depth controls.
More than automatic wah, this effect is sent up to the boundaries with flanger and phasing , thanks to its incredible depth and musicality. Furthermore, the controler is still useful here, as it now slowly bypass this dramatic effects. You should try this.
Chapter 5 : In Between s and MP3
As a pure analog device, the TRINITY can anywhere between two settings, allowing literally hundreds of possible tones. I think this demo from my GREAT demoer Jean-Christophe PANZA---meet him at newt SHG Milano, ITALY at JACQUES BOOTH !!!---will give already an idea of this panorama.

Mercer Box II
There is a big difference between classical and rock music. I once asked a pro classical pianist friend of mine, Helene, to play the 19th Goldberg variatio for me. She never played it before, and could not remember it. So, she just grabbed the score, put in on her piano, and within 3 minutes, she could play it in a wonderful way for my greatest pleasure.
What if I have asked for "Foxy Lady" ?
When it comes to modern music, no matter how good you are at reading scores ,
you'll go nowhere without a complete knowledge in tone.
You can play Bach on any instrument but in case of rock music, tone is part of the music itself.
The MERCER BOX 2 contains all my knowledge in distortion tone and will transmit it via its outstanding controls . Featuring the widest distortion tonal range ever achieved , from CLEAN to the HIGHEST GAIN ,
and performing the BEST CLEAN-UP of all time ,
The MB2 will change your perception of guitar tone forever.

Singing Geisha
Undoubtedly Jacques' most bizarre and ingenious creation, the Singing Geisha is an analog multi-effect featuring classic Wah Wah and Overdrive/Distortion effects as well as the unique Sing function - a monophonic synthesizer oscillator circuit operated by the rocker pedal. These three effects can be used separately or simultaneously in any combination. The Geisha's plethora of controls include a pressure activated wah switch, Wah Q control, Sing Range and Level controls, Distortion Level and Overdrive/Distortion Adjust controls as well as On/Off switches for the Distortion and Sing functions. Opto-Electronic circuitry insures a lifetime of trouble-free performance from both Wah and Sing functions. Intended as a professional tool, the SG-2's various effects have been painstakingly developed to the highest levels in order to assure optimum performance when used separately or in combination. Far-out yet functional, the Singing Geisha is the perfect pedal for players looking to dramatically expand their tonal horizons.

The Fat Burner NEW!
The FAT BURNER is a combo compressor sustainer headphone amp pedal.
You can use it a compressor, a sustainer for clean tones or in conjunction with your fave distortion box, as a headphone practice amp with or without compression, and , last but not least for it is the innovation of the FAT BURNER ,as an amp volume optimizer.
1-THE NO-COMPRESSOR-MAN 'S COMPRESSOR
Should I use a compressor ? How many times this question comes around, after reading that Mr.Famous uses one.
For those afraid of 'pumping' drawbacks, the FAT BURNER has been developed from its famous ancestors, and therefore offers the best natural feeling ever with this kind effect. But natural does not mean wimpy in my book: the FAT BURNER is capable of very high compression ratio to obtain heavenly sustained tones.
2-FROM STADIUMS TO TV COUCH REHEARSALS
The professional use of the FAT BURNER will soon becomes essential for you. Dare take it off your pedalboard.
So I found a reason for it : the FAT BURNER can be used as a headphone practice amp. Simply plug your fave headphone into the PHONE outlet, and enjoy its rich natural tone with or without compression.
In case of headphone use, the FAT BURNER is switched on by plugging your guitar in.Use the footswitch to turn in/off the compression/sustain and the PHONE volume to adjust to your ears.
While always present on rack units, headphone outputs on analog pedals are quite rare.
That is why I thought it was a good idea. But I had something else in mind ...
3-HEADROOM ( don't do that !!!)
OK, Don't plug your amp to the PHONE out. Don't do that !
Now that you did --I knew you will-- you are inflicting your fave amp a 10 times boost right in its front.
But thanks to the compressor part of the FAT BURNER, the point of overdrive is pushed forward.
In other words, your amp has NEVER been so LOUD.
Take a '52 TV front Fender deluxe like mine and a '65 black face Fender deluxe. Basically you've got the same power amp section --if you except the negative feedback loop--. All the rest is preamp differences.
As the '65 has TONS more of headroom --clean volume before entering overdrive-- I have always considered possible to give an amp more headroom from the OUTSIDE... and only a combination of powerful boost AND compression could give this result.
We worked hard on this, and now there is evidence: with the FAT BURNER , you amp sounds like 50% more watts.
--while your amp can take this safely, watch your speakers!
And of course , when overdrive becomes unavoidable, the FAT BURNER booster does it in style, a la JACQUES, thanks to its special harmonic clippers.
4-AMP SPLITTER
If you own more than one amp, there is another reason why you should purchase the BURNER: thanks to its separated AMP/PHONE circuits and outputs , the BURNER makes the PERFECT signal splitter with OR without compression.
- No leakage between the 2 signals means no ground hum
- Amps balance always at your finger, thanks the PHONE volume control
-No signal loss, even for the AMP output thanks to its 100% transparent beefy buffer
So why pay top dollars for sophisticated signal splitters when you can have the same quality PLUS unlimited gain AND marvelous compression ?
Arguably the secret of the stars, you now can enjoy multiple amps rigs like in those examples :
SUSTAIN FOR DAYS + BIG BODY
with heavy compression: PHONE out to a nice clean amp and AMP out to a raging overdriven monster
CLIFFS OF DOVER
without compression: PHONE out to a maxed blackface and AMP out to a maxed plexi
PRISTINE SURF MONSTER
with low compression: PHONE out to a VOX Supreme or any BIG tranny amp and AMP out to a silverface twin
etc...

The Bat Fuzz NEW!

"Holy GOTH metal, here comes the BAT FUZZ !!!"
Double High-Gain Mixable Metal Distortion Unit
chapter 1: who do you think you are ? You can disagree, but to my point of view METAL was born with Deep Purple LP "Who do we think we are". Never before --hey, another hit-- I have heard such a music description of what was the trend in 1973, gothic. The climax of this beloved fashion was the "Dracula '73" movie , featuring a vampire rock group in a not-anymore-swinging London middle class party. Just imagine what can do the "Rat Bat Blue" riff to young teenage ears, more used to wishy-washy middle-of-the-road then joyfully broadcast in every bell-bottoms pants joint.
chapter 2 : from muff to zone - Apparently , I was not the only one to love this tone and that could not afford modded Marshall Major stacks. So my fellows pedal builders seized their soldering irons and came up with gems still in use today, with fortitude. The last, but certainly not least, the metal zone , seemed to close the debate with an ultimate ultra-heavy tone that instantly makes you serious matter for the small town girl attending your rehearsal gig.
chapter 3 : enter frogman - All this money , what do you think? Thus came the nu metal band , so uniformized they even their mothers had problems sorting them. They try everything to get exposure : make ups--that was not new---, silly names , masks, stupid monikers, ugly +++ haircuts, no hair, dirty shirts, no shirts (some even had ALL this together in one band ! )etc.. everything but TALENT and TONE. And just when you get hints to recognize them , they just disappear without any trace. Then a hot newcomer takes its place, and so on. Don't you think it's time ( PUT THE NAME OF YOUR BAND HERE ) changes this for good ?
chapter 4 : back in Jacques - This is where I put the fun back into it. Do you remember the joyful hours spent with your new first fuzz pedal ? All the excitement is back , thanks to the wonderful BATFUZZ. We stuffed the pedal with every tone you can expect to become a metal star .
Technically speaking , here is how we made this possible.
DOUBLE HI-GAIN DISTORTION CIRCUIT
- First circuit is modelled on classic '70s metal distortion modded Marshall amps type. This circuit is only adjustable with the LEVEL and FUZZ knobs.
- Second circuit is an extended ultra high-gain modern distortion, with adjustable low end -- WINGS --, mid boost --- FANGS-- and treble bite --- RADAR. This dangerous circuit shares with the '70s the LEVEL and FUZZ knobs.
- An unique MIX knob let you MIX & MORPH the 2 circuits for an incredible array of tones from past to future metal.

The TUBE BLOWER NEW!

CHAPTER 1 : On the west side of overdrive
I have been trying to crack the coveted secret of perfect overdrive for years now, collecting every pedal bearing the magic name and its sister.
Lots of these pedals have real qualities but it is obvious that the best remains at this day the vintage Ibanez ts808.
Janauary 2002: One of my good music friend finds a fourth ts808 for my collection. I nicknamed this pedal WEST. The moment I unpacked WEST , its sheer perfection striked my collector senses: this lady had everything. The right paint chips at the right places, the right wear of soulful gigs and , most of all, the righteous tone.
CHAPTER 2 : Going west for wider horizons
While there is no such thingas a schrink of frequency range when you push up a vintage JTM45 or a Tweed Deluxe, most overdrive pedals have nothing more to offer than a nice midrangey distortion tone for a raging tube amp impersonization. If you except the legendary ts808 of course, which , preserving full frequency range while miming maxed tube amp reactions, has become the most valuable overdrive ever. Auditioning WEST with other overdrive contenders was just getting a new pair of ears, making once again this particular pedal champ of the champs.
CHAPTER 3 : The Goldminer wish list Putting together all the numerous emails I have received these last 3 years
about overdrives, here is the top ten wish list I have put up:
1- more gain
2- morphing continuously from clean to more gain
3- bass boost-which occurs naturally on pushing Marshall amps
4- treble boost-which occurs naturally when pushing black face Fender amps
5- normal price
6- complete library of settings
7- a full single coil AND humbuckers compatibility
8- respect of the amp you plug in.
9- respect of the guitar and of the dynamics of your playing
10- and last but not least: a classic, serious, heavy look
CHAPTER 4 : OK corral Gainfight
I guess you know by now what I did. The whole TUBEBLOWER project was to get these ten points WITH THE TONE OF THE 'WEST' ts808. Here is for example the range of the TUBEBLOWER's DRIVE pot which was the real challenge :
This nice picture shows us that thet TUBEBLOWER can go much CLEANER and distort much more than ts808. Does this sound too good to be true to your ears? I have evidence to proof it.
CHAPTER 5 : High mp3 noon
In a few days, you will find in this chapter a COMPLETE demo of the TUBELOWER featuring all its possible settings on numerous guitars and amps. You will be the judge.

The MEISTER SINGER NEW!
The Gleen Gould movie: Glenn Gould and a man, certainly a musicologue, are in a black and white studio. Glenn Gould is at the piano, and starts playing with incredible maestria. The other man, striked by such artistic technique, just says: -"Meistersinger ?"
Glenn Gould turns his head toward the man, and seems to notice his presence for the first time. While going on playing in an inexorable beauty, he just answers:
-"What else?"
The MEISTERSINGER is an hommage to the best analog chorus made in the past. Boss/Roland of course, which sort of invented it, granted us with such wonderful effect as, CE1, CE2, Dimension D, Dimension C and my favorite ever, included in this obscure SH09 string keyboard I already covered on my site. CORON too, with its incredibly cheap looking plastic wonder and last but not least the great EH Small Clone.
But the MEISTERSINGER is not a model: it is a true ANALOG delay chips chorus, like they were. It is no imitation, but the real thing. You can count on the fingers of Django Reinhardt the other real analog chorus on the market today.
The reasons why analog chorus , or any analog time based effect, sounds better than digital are numerous, But the main one to me is that the detuned tone produced to be mixed with the original, is not exactly the same than the original.
Just like would be another guitarist playing along with you:
1-THE INVISIBLE COMPANION
Chorus was invented to make believe you are not alone. It mimes two musician playing the same thing at the same time, thus enriching tone like in a choir. Most digital chorus tends, in this process, to kill punch and dynamics, an even more obvious defect with electric guitar. The model processors are plagued with this same problem, because of the same difficulty for digital encoding to transmit the dynamics of your playing in real time.
2-THE DROP ZONE
It is quite strange nobody ever evokes this simple strategy. When you manipulate had-tweakable chorus effects ( like the old MXR rack or ADA pitchtraq) you notice a very obvious matter: chorus effect sounds twice better with a negative detune than a positive one. The reason could be a deeper body of the resulting mix or a more complicated comb hamronics effect. Anyway this option was chosen for the MEISTERSINGER, which fears no one for the best chorus tone ever. No kidding.
3- THE MUSIC-LOVER AUDIO FAIR
Numerous mp3 samples of the MEISTERSINGER chorus will soon be available on this page.Stay tuned

The FUSE BLOWER II NEW!
Usually , there is a chinese wall between boutique pedals makers and mass stompbox producers. A constant war featuring superior taylored tone versus bells-and-whistles for lower bucks . But there is no such an ostracism on the guitarist pedal board where point-to-point lives in peace and harmony with machine soldered.
Looking back in History, it is obvious that this boundary is quite fuzzy, if I may say so. Certain industrially manufactured boxes where so well engineered from the start that they have achieved vintage star status and now serve as blueprints for boutique designs. It is worth noting that ,like many artists, this took place after their market life.
Jacques has overloaded his time capacities for personnal hand made pedals, and, while he always offers his beloved point-to-point handwriten beauties, launching an industrial line of pedals is the only way to solve this problem and touch more stompbox aficionados all around the world: most original Fuse Blower or Mercer owners have become email friends as it seems we share a clear vision of what distortion should be.
You can listen to the audio demo HERE
Think about it: 3 Fuse Blowers in 1 compact pedal !!!
Further than its distinctive own growl, The FUSE BLOWER II 's three distortion engines allow any classic vintage distortion tones as well as modern "shredding" solo sounds. Versatility and personality can at least live in peace in a compact pedal.
Dynamics and reactivity
A distortion pedal must follow the guitar signal , in order to react to the guitarist playing shades. A simple test is to lower the guitar volume and observe if the distortion amount decrease accordingly. The FUSE BLOWER II excels in preserving the original tone of the guitar pick-ups as well as the sound of the amplifier it is plugged in, unlike many effects which give the same tone on any gear.
Analog technology and noise ratio
Using old time analog technology ,The FUSE BLOWER II insures nevertheless a noise ratio compatible with modern digital recording, giving electric guitar takes the authenticity they badly need.
Road test
Before public marketing, the FUSE BLOWER II has been tested on tour by European professional guitarists, already users of JACQUES STOMPBOXES hand-made FUSE BLOWER, under special no-mercy stage abuses. The optimal results allow a 3 year no-questions-asked 10 days replacement warranty .
