BSM the Finest Treble Boosters

Model RM Fuzzbender
The RM FuzzBender combines two of the most sought after fuzz pedals into one unit!
With the flick of a sliding switch, the guitarist can toggle from a vintage FuzzFace tone to a SolaSound/Vox ToneBender tone.
Instead of using the more commonly available consumer transistors (NKT275/ AC128 (Fuzz Face) or SFT363 (Tone Bender MKI) like other "boutique" units, BSM has chosen to use high quality industrial strength NOS Siemens transistors. And unlike other units which require periodic adjustment (via an internal trim pot) of the bias, each individual unit's bias is tuned prior to leaving the factory and will last a lifetime without any adjustment. Side mounted volume and fuzz controls make it simple to dial in just the right setting. Enjoy the best sounding Fuzz units out there in one little box.
BSM - When only the best will do!

Model HS
The German made BSM HS Treble Booster is identical to the much sought after Hornby Skewes unit (manufactured in England in the late 60’s) used by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) both live and in the studio. As the original, the unit uses the European OC44 germanium transistor. Treble boosters (such as the Hornby Skewes, Orange, Dallas Rangemaster) were utilized by Eric Clapton, Brian May, Ritchie Blackmore, Rory Gallagher, David Gilmour and many other english guitarists to push their tube amplifiers into creamy distortion loaded with overtones. The result of the Hornby Skewes into a good tube amplifier is evident on the Deep Purple in Rock and Made in Japan recordings. The OC44 germanium transistors are carefully selected (over 50% are rejected by the manufacturer) and resin soaked over a three day period (to guarantee tension-free stability), to ensure superior sonic characteristics, optimal performance and long trouble-free life. The circuit is true bypass and has been updated to comply with current standards as well as eliminate unwanted noise and radio interference inherent in the original 60’s designs. All BSM Treble Boosters are handmade in Germany with meticulous attention to detail and offer a 5 year warranty.

Model HS Custom
The German made BSM HS Custom Treble Booster is identical to the much sought after Hornby Skewes unit (manufactured in England in the late 60’s) used by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) both live and in the studio, but includes a side mounted volume control (like Blackmore's modified unit from 1974 on) to vary the amount of boost. Model RM
The German made BSM RM Treble Booster is identical to the prized Dallas Range Master unit (manufactured in England in the 60’s) used by Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and early Cream (both live and in the studio), as well as Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi. As the original, the unit uses the European OC44 germanium transistor and is fitted with a side mounted volume control. The result of the Range Master into a good tube amplifier is evident on the Bluesbreaker's "Beano" recording (into a JTM45) and the first two Black Sabbath albums (into a Laney stack). Model OR
The German made BSM OR Treble Booster is identical to the Orange Treble & Bass booster made in the late 60's in England, as used by David Gilmour in Pink Floyd. When used with a good tube amp, the unit is capable of producing the the tone which helped create epochal masterpieces such as "Umma Gumma´(1969), "Meddle"(1971) and "Dark Side of The Moon"(1973). Wishbone Ash´s Andy Powell and Ted Turner were also dedicated users of the original Orange Treble & Bass booster, which helped create the band's searing dual guitar harmonic rock style. The long yearned for new edition, now issued under the name OR from BSM, uses the same OC76 germanium transistors as the the original 1960's version. The OR model includes a tone control which allows an extraordinary amount of tonal versatility. When set to maximum, the unit produces a very glassy tone. When a middle setting is dialed in, the result is a punchy tone with a mids emphasis. When set to minimum, the unit produces a very bassy tone with a fat bottom end. It is of interest to note that David Gilmour used the Orange Treble and Bass Booster to drive a new 100 watt Sound City stack, later replaced by a 100 watt Hiwatt stack. Almost all British rock guitarists using single coil pickup guitars used some type of germanium booster from the late 60's to the mid 70's. By the end of the seventies, these boosters were replaced by a new circuit from Japan, the so called Tube Screamer and other similar overdrive circuits. These were based on the old boosters and therefore had a very similar frequency response. The germanium boosters on the other hand, sadly fell into oblivion despite their unique and inimitable sound. The OC76 germanium transistors are carefully selected (over 50% are rejected by the manufacturer) and resin soaked over a three day period (to guarantee tension-free stability), to ensure superior sonic characteristics, optimal performance and long trouble-free life. The circuit is true bypass and has been updated to comply with current standards as well as eliminate unwanted noise and radio interference inherent in the original 60’s designs. All BSM Treble Boosters are handmade in Germany with meticulous attention to detail and offer a 5 year warranty.
