Not So Ol' Yeller
The Not So Ol' Yeller picks up where the Ol' Yeller leaves off. It sounds great with a variety of amps and it's variable enough to be useful as more than just a distortion generator, but they've added a second channel and that second channel has more available gain. Additionally, there are two internal trim pots (one for each channel) to fine-tune the high end. So now you can take that clear, bright Ol' Yeller sound and darken it a little or a lot. You decide! Since it's basically the same as an Ol' Yeller V2, the same basic description applies...

Though the Not So Ol' Yeller is based on a familiar circuit, as are many overdrives past and present, it is far from a clone. One thing you'll notice instantly is the lack of the typical midrange hump and the extra clarity. There is also more available gain and an increased output. But perhaps the most obvious difference is in the tone control. The range is greatly extended; so much so that you may think it is a little bright. This is especially true if you try setting it up like your favorite clone or vintage piece. However the range of the control, which is very sensitive, will take you from dark and thick to "treble booster" bright. This extra top end makes the Ol' Yeller particularly well-suited for adding increased harmonic content to an already overdriven or particularly dark amp.

The low-end and mid-range content is voiced to sound great through any type of amp. It sounds great with 6L6 type amps, 6V6 type amps, EL34 type amps, KT66 types and even EL84 amps! Have I missed anything? We've experimented with an exhausting number of amplifiers ranging from vintage pieces right through modern day production pieces, low gain, high gain, it doesn't matter. The Ol' Yeller is comfortable with them all! Additionally, the "Yeller" responds amazingly well to pick dynamics and cleans up well when you back off on the guitar's volume control making it sound and feel more amp like. Of course it's true bypass with an LED and a DC jack****.

Hism Scism
The logical next step in fuzz tone after the Geranium Fuzz and it's '60's rock tone, the Hism Scism delivers the '70's tone and then some.

Driven by a pair of carefully selected silicon transistors, the Hism Scism is not the overly bright spitty fuzz that many people associate with a silicon-styled fuzz. It's very warm and very smooth. Like most Si fuzzes, it is capable of higher gain fuzz tones, but unlike many Si fuzzes, the "Scism" doesn't mind a bit if you'd rather not max out the fuzz. Compared to the Geranium Fuzz with it's harmonically rich upper-mids, the Hism Scism is slightly more scooped with a more robust and elastic bottom end.

The input control allows you to limit the signal entering the pedal  resulting in a cleaner or more saturated fuzz tone. The output control sort of does the same thing, but in a different way. The combination of the two can provide unlimited shades of fuzz. It sort of tunes the bottom end. Want more bottom? Crank up the input. Less bottom? Back off on the input a little. The high cut switch is not exactly a tone control (though careful listening will yield some tone cut), it's actually added to allow you to match the fuzz to different amps. It's generally accepted that fuzz sounds better through Marshall type amps and harsh through Fender style. With the high cut switch engaged, the Hism Scism will sound just as sweet through your Fender! Of course it's true bypass with an LED and a DC jack****.

Boostmaster
Been wrestling with the dilemma of choosing a boost pedal? Clean boost or treble boost? Or, have you been disenchanted by "transparent" boost pedals that in reality seem sterile or unresponsive? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, than have we got a boost for you!

The Addrock Boostmaster is a germanium powered boost pedal that at the flick of a switch becomes either a treble boost or a full range boost. The treble boost is a little sweeter than you might expect from a treble boost pedal. On an overdriven amp, it makes the harmonics just leap from your guitar. As a full range boost, the Boostmaster can turn your crunch into searing high gain tone, boost solos, or just add another dimension to your tone.

Is it squeaky clean or brown sounding? You decide! The drive control (input trim) allows you to limit the signal entering the pedal resulting in a cleaner or more grimy sound. The output control sort of does the same thing, but in a different way. The combination of the two can provide unlimited shades of boost tone. Additionally, the pedal responds well dynamically, adding a very natural and very subtle compression that will make your rig feel better as well and it works well with your wah! Of course it's true bypass with an LED and a DC jack****. Very warm and creamy tone that's sure to be a hit the next time you fire up your rig!

Electric Smile
The octave fuzz is a sound popularized in the late 60's. Used extensively by Jimi Hendrix, the octave fuzz has been "rediscovered" for it's unique tonal qualities.

Whether your stepping into the way back machine or into the next dimension, the Addrock Electric Smile can get you there in style.

The "Smile" has a fuzz that ranges from mild to wild without ever becoming "ice-picky" and gobs of smooth, fat bottom end. It sounds great by itself or add amp distortion or an overdrive for insane sustaining octave effects. Of course it's true bypass with an LED and a DC jack****. Step on an Electric Smile, the pedal that smiles back at you!

Geranium Fuzz
The germanium fuzz was the sound of late '60's rock. Artists like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton were busy taking rock guitar to the next level and the sound of germanium fuzz was a cornerstone of their tone.

The Addrock Geranium Fuzz is based on the same legendary design that popularized the tone "back in the day" and through careful component selection and tuning it can deliver these tones and much more!

We start with carefully selected germanium transistors. The selection process includes several tests that involve electronic measurement that systematically eliminate duds. If the transistors pass these tests (and few do), they are then tested in circuit to ensure low noise and sweet tone. They are matched and tuned for consistency. The result is a fuzz that is sweet and smooth.

We've added an input control that allows you to limit the signal entering the pedal  resulting in a cleaner or more saturated fuzz tone. With the high cut switch engaged, the Germanium Fuzz will sound just as sweet through your Fender!

A fuzz as a clean boost? Try this: Crank the output control up full and trn the fuzz all the way down. Roll back on the input to around 10:00. Now think of the fuzz controls as your output volume and bring it up slowly to the desired level. Adjust the input for the desired amount of bottom! Viola! Sweet transparent boost! Of course it's true bypass with an LED and a DC jack****. The sounds of the '60's and then some - the Addrock Geranium Fuzz!

Ol' Yeller
The Ol' Yeller has undergone some modification! The Ol' Yeller V2 has the same basic tone, but we've eliminated the clean leak, increased the output and added a very slight amount of bass. The bass boost is almost more felt than heard, if that makes any sense. The dynamics have also improves. It seems to breathe! Now on to the description...

Need an overdrive that sounds great with a variety of amps? With enough variability to be useful as more than just a distortion generator? Well the Ol' Yeller just might be the ticket!

Though the Ol' Yeller is based on a familiar circuit, as are many overdrives past and present, it is far from a clone. One thing you'll notice instantly is the lack of the typical midrange hump and the extra clarity. There is also more available gain and an increased output.
