VFE stands for “VonRutter Family Effects” as both brothers have helped build what started as a side project (the dude was a high school math teacher when he first started!) into a blossoming pedal company that is taking the pedal world by storm. There are three things to know about VFE: 1) Each pedal is designed with flexability to leave the final tone shaping in the player’s hands, 2) All pedals are hand built, QUALITY machines of tone. The circuit board design & layout are all done by VFE, and every board is populated and soldered in-house, and 3) Prices will always stay low: not out of compromise, but because the company was built without massive loans and huge artist endorsement deals. JUST ARRIVED! – The Kalamazoo Overdrive features premium components, bullet proof construction and a sonic presence that will simply knock you out! Inside its mirrored chrome chassis is a custom 4 knob IC based natural overdrive circuit. The tone control wired to work in series with it’s treble booster offers up super smooth, controllable highs. The Eternity “FUSE” features a super FAT low gain setting as well the classic versions of the ETERNITY selectable via 3 position toggle switch. It is a very smooth type of OD. It can go from nothing at all to sounding like a very warm vintage overdriven tube amp or a clean flat booster or a treble booster even a tweed amp. But what the heck, we’ll blog it anyway: PETE CORNISH G-2s are IN STOCK!!! Wow, I rarely get to say that! And not only that, but the silver series cables are in stock as well! Christmas time is usually Pete Cornish Pedal time, but this year he threw some pedals our way early. And no one here will complain about that. The Pete Cornish G-2 has been hailed as the most original sounding distortion unit available to guitarists in the Rock Arena. It has a four stage overdriven discrete transistor Class A circuit with additional Germanium components that generate much warmer sounding harmonics than anything else on the market. JUST ARRIVED! – Two of our favorites are back in stock at Musictoyz.com: The Stone Grey Distortion and the Sweet Honey Overdrive from Mad Professor. To help us all save a little cash, Mad Professor made a handful of their pedals with circuit boards instead of hand wiring! Dont fret though, you can still get the handwired models through us.
