The Mystery of Jed Clampett Solved ! – I remember seeing the Beverly Hillbillies when I was home from school sick and that Jed came out playing a double neck guitar. For many years I thought Jed was the original user of the Gibson ES-1295 Double Neck prior to Page in the Zeppelin days. I had always envisioned Jed as the pioneer of the double neck and pure genuis because of this, but I did a search on a youtube and in fact it was a Danelectro double neck. This shoots the Gibson ES-1295 theory but maybe Jed lent Pagey his single neck Dano for Stairway ? Click picture for footage !
