Please use the AVclub or some other website for your rock news links. Rollingstone is a sad, unfunny, joke of a a journalistic enterprise. Austin Scaggs review of Lollapalooza was the last straw. He said saturday was “dismal” but didn’t even stay for the Muse/Interpol headliners. How can you write a review of a concert you haven’t even seen?
This is just one glaring example of rollingstone’s pompousness. They feel they’re so well informed they can just say whatever they want about anything without substatiating it. They’re the end all and be all of music opinions, almost omniscient.
That just doesn’t cut it in professional journalism and until they start putting a semblance of effort into their product, don’t let it mire your website please.
Can you get a link for this AVclub ? I would gladly switch….
Rolling Stone is pathetic all they do is cover artists that are the 70s and 80s and throw in one new band and a few rap artists for the young hipsters…..the magazine was crap and went up in a pile of blow with corporate rock in the late 70s
