Floyd founder Wright dies at 65 – Pink Floyd keyboard player and founder member Richard Wright has died aged 65 from cancer. Wright appeared on the group’s first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, in 1967 alongside lead guitarist Syd Barrett, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. Dave Gilmour joined the band at the start of 1968 while Barrett left the group shortly afterwards. Richard Wright of Pink Floyd RIP

The Very Young Jimmy Page – Great clip of James Page at I would say age 14 ? playing some Skiffle Music with his mates. Very odd they all seem very bright and articulate as the host Huw Wheldon peppers them with inane questions. The one kid even made his own stand-up bass which is incredible on it’s own! Page strums and strums showing no sign of the brilliance to come but at the end I think he makes Zoso sign or something. Where it all began, click on the picture to watch the video.

Andy Summers and Ollie Halsall Duel! – Great video of Andy Summers and Ollie Halsall doing a mild guitar dual in the middle of the song. Made in 1981 for some Spanish TV show which is odd since it was the height of Police mania, Ollie is playing way back because if he wanted he could destroy Andy at anytime. He was the earliest shred guy there was, do a search on him MONSTER player who passed away in the late 90s. Also wait till they show the keyboard player, I wish I had a keyboard player that looked like that in my bands…any band really. Click on picture for video !
