Early Fender Amp History – The first Fender amps where made in Fullerton California in early 1946. The aliens hadn’t yet landed at Roswell nor had the Transistor yet been invented. The amps where first manufactured under the name “K&F Manufacturing” and where designed for lap steel guitar players. The early amp designed where base on RCA amplifier circuits found in there tube application manual. Jeff Beck and Stevie ! – this is from their tour in 1986/7 thru the USA which I was lucky enough to see at Madison Square Garden. Beck opened, Stevie came on next and then they came out and did “Goin Down” as the encore. They both where great but the one thing I remember was how incredible Dale Bozzio was on drums, what a power drummer. You can’t see any guitar amps, effects, or pedals so I don’t know what they where using on that tour ? Comments ? Click on picture to watch video.
