Catfish Flats is a three piece blues-rock band based out of the Mobile area of southern Alabama. Since its inception in November of 2004 Catfish Flats has earned a reputation for powerful and consistent live shows featuring the dynamic improvisational skills of all three members.Catfish Flats started quite accidentally. Henry, our original bassist Jon Wells and I took a one off gig as a trio. By the second song of the gig it became obvious that something unique, very musical and incredibly fun was happening as we worked in the trio format. James Gang 1971 – Just saw this clip yesterday of The James Gang 1971 and what a kick ass power trio they where. Sloppy, loud, rock n roll machine music that never really got its due in my eyes.
