Music Noyz.com Artist The Saturday Nights

The Saturday Nights – TSN hails from Chicago the place of long winters, snowing nights, and psychedelic dreams. They uploaded two songs to Music Noyz.com which vary in style. “Juliana Convince Me” is a very psychedelic drug rock song very Iggy/Stooges flavored which I just loved – GREAT FUZZ TONE ! The other song Stranded has a very acoustic “Byrds†type feel which made me long for the first song. I wish we had more songs to see truly who they are but whatever it is they are great songwriters and the music is produced/recorded very professional. Clinic - Motivic development, rhythmic contour, harmonic contrast, retrograde inversion, tension / resolution …yikes! Sounds like serious science…The theory terms related to linear improvisation might sound complicated, but in reality it’s all pretty simple. With some easy to understand fundamental insights, building more concise, interesting, emotive, stylistically authentic lines is a just few hours of practice time away! There is a very logical and results-oriented process for shedding these techniques, with the result being stronger overall vocabulary and more confident technique. Clinic Info
Edgar Winter Group 1973

Edgar Winter Group – A classic track mostly forgotten for just how revolutionary it was at the time 1973. The Synth sound was all still relatively new and this song brought it to the mainstream. Rick Derringer on guitar is just an extra treat, I loved his solo Live record which was the album that really got me to play guitar - check this video!  Here is an excellent version of Frankenstein by Edgar Winter Group on the British TV show The Old Grey Whistle Test, 1973.
